our founders
Cindy has practiced speech language therapy in a wide range of settings, including neonatal care units, rehabilitation facilities, elementary schools and, most recently, in private practice. With an undergraduate degree from Indiana University and a Master of Science degree from Miami University, Cindy’s specialty areas include articulation, fluency and voice disorders. Her first job was co-director of a children’s summer day camp, and after a high school intern experience with a speech pathologist, she was hooked on practicing speech and language therapy as a way to help improve children’s lives.

With undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ohio University, Jenny has experience working in many different environments. She has evaluated and treated children of all ages in her 28 years of experience, and specializes in articulation disorders and aural rehabilitation. Raised by a teacher and a nurse, education and medicine inspired Jenny, and a career in speech pathology emerged the perfect mix of both. Jenny is an avid tennis player and reader… and still finds joy in reading Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle.

Nutritional Specialist/ Registered Dietician
A Michigan State graduate and registered dietitian specializing in pediatric nutrition, Kelly’s profession has taken her from clinical settings to preschools (and everything in between!). When she’s not helping children, she can be found on the tennis court, planning new travel adventures, or eating out with her family… without cell phones! |
Speech Therapist
Lauren began her career as a speech therapist in 2012 after receiving her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland. Prior to joining McKibben and Monte, Lauren worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio as a general therapist focusing on feeding challenges. Fun Fact - Lauren is an identical triplet! |
Behavior Modification Specialist
We are excited to have Anne and her experience as a behavior modification specialist on our team. With a background in teaching, her oldest son inspired her to explore methodologies that would stimulate learning and help children become happy human beings. Anne is also an artist, an avid beachgoer, and tries to live up to Audrey Hepburn’s quote whenever she can: “Life is a party, dress like it!”. |
Speech Therapist
Meghan has focused on pediatric speech pathology in a variety of settings since receiving her master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Raising two children under two provides her a unique perspective on balance and childhood development, and she loves collaborating with a child’s family to get the most out of therapy sessions. Her two favorite children’s books? Steam Train Dream Train and The Pout Pout Fish. |

Amy loves working with children and transitioned from serving kids ice cream in high school to helping them communicate after she achieved her degree in speech/language pathology. An avid reader, Amy’s favorite books include The Gruffalo and the Pete the Cat series, and she dreams of returning to her favorite country, Italy, as soon as she can. |
Speech Therapist
Tracy is an energetic pediatric therapist who focuses on making therapy fun and supporting parents with carryover activities to work on at home. She has always wanted to work with children in either the education or medical field and chose speech pathology as the perfect blend of both. Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and master’s degree from The Ohio State University. Fun fact – she’s a passionate ping pong player! |
Speech Therapist
Cristina completed her undergraduate degree at College of Charleston and decided to pursue speech/language pathology after a career-altering internship at the Medical University of South Carolina. When she’s not working with children, you’ll find Cristina in the kitchen cooking with her big Italian family or chasing her travel itch and exploring a new country. |
Intervention Specialist
As a certified K-12 intervention specialist, Alyssa works with children with autism, sensory processing disorders, ADHD, behavioral and emotional struggles. She is passionate about helping kids understand their own emotions, gain perspective and use tools to emotionally self-regulate. Since she was young, Alyssa has advocated for people with differences, and is happiest when she is helping others and seeing them achieve success. |
Speech Therapist
As a 3rd grade speech therapy graduate herself, Heather knows first-hand the benefits of early speech and reading intervention! Since receiving her master’s degree from Miami University in 1997, Heather seamlessly combines fun and productivity in her speech sessions and builds a special rapport with the children she supports. After hours, she enjoys learning new skills as a novice chicken farmer with the help of her two sons. |
Occupational Therapist
Focused on occupational balance in life, Stefani was inspired to pursue occupational therapy when she experienced first-hand the way it can bring meaning and potential to children. And it runs in the family… Stefani’s twin sister is also an occupational therapist! Stefani enjoys kayaking and exercising outside and has finally decided to abandon her childhood dream of being a “paint facer” (aka a face painter). |
Enrichment Specialist
A reading specialist and endorsed ELL educator for over 29 years, Megan has taught children in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and second grade. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan and her master’s degree from University of Dayton. Of all her vast collection of children’s books, Megan’s favorite is Arnie the Doughnut. |
Speech Therapist
After working in nursing homes, hospitals, and a juvenile correctional facility in her 20+ year career, Heidi finds her most rewarding work helping young children develop and improve their communication skills for a successful future. Heidi graduated from Ohio University and completed her Master of Art in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State. She balances work with a family and vacation time in Northern Michigan, and we’re grateful she veered from her original dream of being a Rockette! |
Speech Therapist
Jeannette has over 20 years of speech therapy experience addressing a variety of needs and providing early childhood intervention in homes, schools and daycare centers. She holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. Her best after work hours are spent with her family and Chip, her Cavapoo. |
Program Coordinator
Karen’s background in business consulting, training and development, and marketing lends support to McKibben & Monte behind-the-scenes and in the coordination of our programs throughout Ohio. Although this is her first exposure to the business side of speech and language pathology, she uses her voice frequently in choirs and training videos, and has been told she needs to work on softening her hard “s” sounds. |
